Third Annual Ranch Volleyball Tournament

The Preparation

320 Guest Ranch - Game Day

Some of you may have heard that over the last 3 years, the volley ball tournament at the ranch has become one of the most exciting events! This year, was the most serious of all. In Jackson Hole, when teams were first announced, planning got underway. They created team uniforms, practiced and made game plans.

The minute we crossed the bridge to the ranch the competition heated up! You could hear comments like, "We are going to win!" coming from the back of the bus.

Before lunch teams were given time to change and prepare. When they came down for lunch, they all decided to eat with their team. They wanted to talk over their "game plan" one last time. Some of the team captains even had pre-game speeches. It was intense as we started the team pictures. Follow along with the pictures below and check out the competition!

Big Sky, Montana

320 Guest Ranch

As we pulled into the ranch, the group rattled with excitment! Everyone was anxious for the adventure to begin as the ranch staff stepped on the bus to welcome us.

On our first afternoon we ate lunch down by the Gallatin River and then participated in the 3rd Annual Grand Western Tour Ranch Volleyball Tournament. The teams took this tournament very seriously and had a blast playing! That night we enjoyed a steak cookout down by the river, and even though there were a few raindrops, we didn't let that spoil our fun. That night we enjoyed the ranch! We hung out by the fire, practiced our laso skills and made smores.

On our second day, we participated in our two group ranch activities. The group was divided in half and had both a morning and an afternoon activity to look forward to. They got to take a two hour horseback ride through the meadow and a 3 mile hike along the Gallatin River. That night, we once again enjoyed an amazing sunset over the mountains, while hanging out by the fire.

Because there was no cell or internet service the group truly got closer on the ranch by sitting by the fire, laughing and telling stories.

Day One: Picnic and Campfire by the River

Amazing view from the cookout area.

This cloud produced just enough rain to make the experience more exciting.

Rain....

Yes, David is trying to laso McKenzie! Then, McKenzie returns the favor!
